Grace EpiscopalGrace Episcopal Church, 1315 Lyttleton St. in Camden, has introduced its new children’s formation program. The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is designed to help children grow closer to God. Children have a unique relationship with their creator and the program seeks to nourish this relationship. Children ages 3 to 8 will explore their special call and learn to listen for the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in all things. The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd now meets during the first half of the church’s 10:30 a.m. service each Sunday.

St. Andrew COGSt. Andrew Church of God, 4238 Red Hill Road, Camden (in Lee County), will host a free live concert featuring Chosen Road and Jackson Heights. The concert will take place under the stars at the church’s amphitheater, so attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs. The concert will also serve to raise awareness of human trafficking, with both bands having worked with Destiny Rescue, a worldwide organization dedicated to rescuing children from sexual exploitation and trafficking, and helping them stay free.
St. Luke BaptistSt. Luke Baptist Church of Camden, 512 Church St., Camden, holds in-person services at 11 a.m. on Sundays and prayer services on the first and third Sundays of each month at 9:30 a.m. Social distancing is being practiced at all times, sterile masks will be issued, and church staff is sanitizing areas throughout the church. St. Paul UMCThe United Methodist Men of St. Paul United Methodist Church, 511 Knights Hill Road in Camden, will host their annual fish fry fundraiser this Saturday, April 20 starting at 10 a.m. in the church’s picnic shelter. Also, this Sunday, April 21, the church will celebrate 156 years of spreading the Gospel in the Knight Hill and surrounding communities, during the 10 a.m. service, which will include a morning message, reflection of the church’s history, and some special recognitions of members who recently turned 70. A meal will be served after the service.
Sutton Branch BaptistSutton Branch Baptist Church, 420 Sutton Branch Road in Lugoff, will celebrate its pastor, G. Bernard Ponds and Sister Rhonda J. Ponds, this Sunday, April 21 at 1 p.m. with a special service to say “thank you” for serving the congregation and others. The Rev. Wateree BaptistWateree Baptist Church’s exercise group, Silver Sneakers, meets Thursdays at 10:30 a.m., in the church gym, 2024 Haile St., in Camden. The groups focus on cardio health, and anyone is welcome to come and exercise.
White Oak Missionary BaptistWhite Oak Missionary Baptist Church in Camden is in search of a new pastor who is passionate about serving the community, the church and spreading the Word of God.
